TOXIC INCOMPETENCE
- - Low image resolution on many papers; country blacklisting reduces usability.
- - Offline ~5 weeks in spring 2026; issues persisted into June.
AVOID THIS TOXIC TRASH. Very poor image resolution on many papers.
Completely down offline spring 2026 for around 5 weeks; and as of JUNE 2026 still failing to load a page until we finish restoring our systems. Blacklists certain countries so unusable in eg ***. No other major databases do this. Countless other basic faults.
In a sane society valuable historic data like this would never be in the hands of incompetent and toxic imbeciles. Would rate zero if possible.

I am Richard Chao-Yu Tseng, a member and subscriber of NewspaperArchive and my account is hss8117@***.com. I am writing to you because there seems to be a billing error on my account.
Specifically, My bank record shows that I was charged twice for the same subscription on 12 August.
However, when I check my billing history on NewspaperArchive, it only shows ONE billing record. Could you help me resolve this issue?

AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!
Auto renews subscriptions with no notice, no receipt nor even telling you it's more than double the cost as the previous year subscription.
Worse.. if you dare complain, they still keep your money and cancel the subscription they charged you for.

I started my free trial and right off the bat I had to change my password at least three times and then it wouldnt let me sign then tried to contact customer service but the phone numbers wrong this place is a joke I want to cancel my free trial to move on But unfortunately I cant contact anyone or sign in to do so

So I got the subscription and went to search a local newspaper that had stories in the paper years ago. I knew they were there because I'd saved them at a library.
So I searched and searched and not one appeared story in my search.
I searched for other things that would show up on any newspaper. Still NOTHING!
It was absolutely a waste of money.
I'm so mad. Especially as much as they charge for one month it was a huge disappointment.
